More beaches in Milos

As you realize, there are many more beaches on Milos than those I write about here. That's what's so good about Milos, one must return, because there is always something new to explore. Below I write a little short of four beaches, but as said, there are many many more, as Triades, Ammoudaraki, Gerontas, Pahena and Forkovouni. :-)

Achivadolimni (Hivadolimni) is a long sandy beach west of Milos Airport. It is a nice and quite shallow beach that is ideal for families with children. I think that this is the best of the beaches in the bay of Milos.

West of Milos airport is the long sandy beach of Achivadolimni.

Provatas beach, south of Achivadolimni and west of Firiplaka and Tsigrado, is one more of Milos' paradise beaches. It is a long sandy beach with golden sand, crystal blue water and beautiful surroundings. The rocks backing the beach shifts between white, red and orange.

Agia Kyriaki is located east of Firiplaka and Tsigrado, not far from Paleochori beach. Also this beach is beautiful and is one of the island's most popular beaches. To get to Agia Kyriaki you drive towards the village of Zefiria (the same road that leads to Paleochori beach), at Zefiria you turn right and follow the signs to the beach.

Between Papafragas and Sarakiniko lies Mitakas (see above) which also belongs to one of my favourite beaches on Milos. The reason why I like Mitakas is partly due to the inviting clear water, partly because of the beautiful view towards Sarakiniko, partly because here is also a small fishing hamlet with cute boathouses.

Alogomandra beach is located after Papafragas and Kapros. If you are coming from Pollonia that is, driving from the other direction, you will reach Alogomandra first.
