Getting around on Agathonissi
If you want to move around you have to go on shanks's pony. You do not need a map when you go exploring, the roads are few and the distances are short.
One of the island's few roads goes to Katholiko.
BY SCOOTER OR CAR
No car or scooter rental service.
I have never tried hiking on Agathonissi, at least not a real hike. Sure, I've walked a lot, but only in the eastern parts of the island.
Two roads starts out from the port, both starts with a killer uphill slope. One road leads to Mikro Chorio, and the other to Megalo Chorio. From Megalo Chorio, the road continues to the small fishing hamlet of Katholiko (where there are fish farms), to Poros beach and farther to the ruins of an ancient settlement.
Here starts the killer uphill slope to Megalo Chorio.
