Aneroussa and Stivari beach on Andros

Batsi is Andros’ most popular tourist resort, and rightly so if you ask me. But what I think many people miss is that there is a smaller tourist resort near Batsi. It’s called Aneroussa and is located just one kilometre north of Batsi. So if you want some variety and some exercise, it doesn’t take long to walk to Aneroussa.

In the area there are three smaller beaches and several hotels. The first beach is called Stivari and it is the one I like the most, and that is because there is a rock bath there, and the water is snorkel friendly. However, it is stony and a bit difficult to get into. After Stivari beach is Aneroussa, or Delavoyas beach as the beach is also called.

Here the bottom is sandy and the water is snorkel-friendly.
